If you have THE SIMS: LIVIN' LARGE on your pc please help me!!?

I have the game and the expansion VIA Torrent, the game opens up *** livin large but when i try to put down any new items they malfunction. or disapear. I know i have all the files i need there just all jumbled up or in the wrong places. If anyone could give me advice on how to put everything in the right place or be kind enough to screenshot there files and send them to me i would be very gratefull
