What would u call a good song from a breakthrough artist?
The first line is "...I'm just a ******..." The African-American community has 'black-listed' this so-called word for obvious reasons. With respect, white people (most) don't use the N word anymore. Most black artists/citizens don't use the N word anymore. They even blank the N word out on reruns of 'The Jeffersons' because it is degrading and not needed. You are degrading yourself, your heritage and ALL AMERICANS by using the N word in the context you're using it in. I need listen no more. The N word could disappear from our vocabulary IF the very people who hate the word would actually stop using the word, itself. That means YOU! So keep all the stereotypes going for centuries if you want to but it's time to stop blaming 'whitey' for the N word lasting so long. It's time to Man-up and take resposibility. You're the one keeping the word alive. Not 'whitey'. If you really think your're just "a n_gger" then I pray you find the self-esteem you need to overcome this useless, vulgar word. Anytime you (or anyone) uses this word you've degraded generations of the slaves who built this great country. It's degrading to white people too (at this point in our time and culture). Your ansestors (mixed with mine) built this country one bloody work day at at time. I have so much respect for those who were unfortunately slaves years ago because they did what they were told and did what they had to survive. And the overcame which in turn made all of America overcome. By using the N word now, just sets all of us back. We should never forget what white people did to black people. Most of the slave brought over here were already slaves in Africa. Black Africans had black slaves and sold them to the white man. We should respect those slaves for every contribution they've given this country. Your use of it is just total disrespect to those who died so you could be free. And the great Martin Luther King, who died so we could all be free and equal and ONE. Peace to you :)
